CTE launches first ever PGCEi

CTE’s first ever PGCEi (Postgraduate Certificate in Education International) in Asia was launched with an intensive face to face induction in Bangkok from April 8th-12th 2019. PGCEi Programme Lead, Nicholas McKie and Senior Teaching fellow Kirsty Weeks flew out to deliver this induction to a range of secondary and primary trainees from international schools across Asia and beyond. The induction took place downtown Bangkok in state of the art office space ideally equipped to cater for large Lectures and breakout sessions in phase. The launch of this programme will further extend CTE’s reach internationally as we add to our local UK school partnerships with potential opportunities of mentor collaboration. The PGCEi is a blended learning course with trainees transitioning to on line sessions delivered live from CTE going forward complimenting the school teaching placements and post-graduate assignments. There is already interest for our next cohort in August 2019 in Bangkok with applicants currently completing pre-screening with our partners in the locale before applying direct to the university.
