Jonty Leese - Associate Professor
Jonty has been involved in education in the West Midlands for over 20 years. He has national and international leadership experience in and out of school and has led on multiple projects around social mobility, international undergraduate courses and preparing for teaching. He sits on a number of national committees and steering groups
Jonty works through building strong relationships in a collaborative culture to help all people succeed to influence and change for the better peoples lives. . He is passionate about developing Computer Science trainees into the best that they can become, with strong Subject Knowledge and Pedagogical Content Knowledge. He has helped design and establish up a MOOC on the FutureLearn platform around preparing student teachers for their training year and has presented to international audiences around Technology Enhanced Learning content and is currently fascinated by the etymology of Computer Science terms and how semantic waves can be used to enhance student learning.
