Indigenous Australian Art

To apply knowledge of Indigenous Australian Art using different mediums to create work inspired by the culture.

Year 7 at Grace Academy Coventry

After working on drawing the aboriginal animals, students then drew multiple animals to use a paintbrush end and acrylic paints and create the even dotted patterns. Within this topic they also completed a small dotting task using felt tip pens to be able to explore a different medium and process.

“Students struggled with holding the paint brush correctly, but when achieved they found the exercise calming.”
