The University of Warwick
If you are looking to stay busy without travelling too far, then look no further than the University itself.
The University hosts a variety of activities such as the many sports teams you could join. Not looking to join a team but still want to play? You are welcome to hire out a facility for a one-off session via Sport facility hire. If you think your fitness isn’t quite up to your standard, the university has its own Gym facilities.
If sports and exercise aren’t your thing, no need to worry, there are plenty of other activities to get involved in. How about joining a society? The university hosts a rich number of different societies and hopefully some which will suit you.
Fancy a night out? How about a few drinks at the bars such as The Dirty Duck or the Terrace Bar? There is also the Fusion Sports Bar, which shows live sport through broadcasters such as Sky Sports. Want to go to a pub that’s a bit more public? The Varsity pub is just a five-minute walk away and is one which is not exclusive to the university, meaning you will get a more authentic experience of a proper British pub.
If going to pubs and drinking alcohol isn’t for you, then how about a visit to Warwick Arts Centre? Here, you can view live events such as plays, concerts and stand-up comedy. The Arts Centre also has a cinema which showcases some of the latest movies being shown in theatres across the country. See what’s on here: What's On | Warwick Arts Centre
