What is WES?
The Warwick Economics Summit is one of the largest student-run academic conferences in Europe. Now in its 20th year, our goal is to set up a community for university students to engage in multidisciplinary discussions with well-renowned professionals from all areas of the social sciences.
The summit weekend involves standalone speeches, panel discussions and seminars in which students from around the world gather to address the wider global issues of today.
Over the past 19 years we have invited 7 Nobel Laureates including John Nash and George Akerlof, well-renowned academics and central bankers such as Stanley Fisher and Professor John B.Taylor and other notable speakers like Zanny Minton Beddoes the editor-in-chief of The Economist.
