The National Student Survey results for 2014 are now in, and the Department has achieved truly excellent results. We have exceeded our overall student satisfaction score from the previous two years, scoring 95% (compared to 91% in 2013 and 2012). Studying Economics at Warwick is also ranked number one in the Russell Group for overall satisfaction.

Our scores have increased in every single category and for every question (teaching, assessment and feedback, academic support, organisation and management, learning resources and personal development). Increases of specific note for Economics include a rise of 6% overall in the categories of teaching, assessment and feedback and academic support. This is from a response rate of 83% (compared to 82% in 2013 and 75% in 2012) demonstrating further our exceptional performance.

The University overall has also improved its performance, with an overall satisfaction score of 89% (compared to 87% in 2013) and increases in a large majority of categories.

Professor Abhinay Muthoo, Head of Department said:

“In the Department, delivering an outstanding student experience requires a team approach, and I would like to thank the whole Department for contributing to this amazing score.

I would also like to thank our students, our efforts are only a success because we have excellent students who engage completely with our teaching and full range of student events and activities that we host throughout the year. We will continue to work tirelessly to ensure that we are consistently providing the best service that we can for our students.”
