Economics at Warwick ranked 7th in Europe in World University Rankings

Economics at Warwick has been ranked 7th in Europe and 26th in the world in the recently released QS World University Rankings.

The QS World University Rankings are a comprehensive ranking of the world's best universities, broken down by both region and subject and include data about which universities provide the best education in economics.

The university rankings take into account a number of factors including the institution's reputation with academics and employers, and the number of research citations the school gets per paper published in a specific discipline.

An article also featured in The Independent on the QS world rankings which identified Europe's 16 most elite economics degrees, of which Warwick was one. The Independent said:

Warwick may not be a world famous university, but when it comes to economics, the university is certainly world class. The current chief economist of the Bank of England, Andy Haldane, has a masters in economics from the university.
