It has been a pleasure and a privilege to lead this Department. The Department is in an great place, particularly with respect to our international reputation for top research, excellent teaching and ability to attract high-quality students from across the globe. I would like to thank all the staff and students who have made my time as Head of department so special. I look forward to watching the department go from strength to strength and, as I remain one of its professors, will continue to support it over the coming period.
