My Research: The Soviet Defence Industry
In 1997 Julian Cooper, Mark Harrison, and I embarked on a joint venture to publish a catalogue of the numbered factories of the Soviet defence industry. With more information acquired through visits to Russia and additional collaborators, the catalogue has been extended to research and design establishments and to unnumbered plants. The complete database, published electronically as The Numbered Factories and Other Establishments of the Soviet Defence Industry: a Guide, has been through many editions. I also write about Soviet aircraft and aviation matters.
