UN Careers Livestream for Universities

This online webinar is open to all current students and recent alumni who want to learn more about professional opportunities at the United Nations. They will be able to hear from successful candidates and learn more about different entry points to a career at the UN, with a primary focus on the Young Professionals Programme (YPP), which is currently open in the areas of Legal Affairs and Library & Information Management. HK Virtual Presentation Series: Future Trainee Panel Event

At this session, join four of our future Hong Kong trainees as they discuss their path into law, their experience of applying for Clifford Chance (including vacation scheme and interview processes) and their tips for your own application. This is a great opportunity to hear directly from students who have recently been through the application process and to have your questions answered. The Legal Cheek UK Virtual Law Fair Series 2022

Serle Court Prospective Pupillage Evening
In -Person @ Chambers

Information about how to tackle the pupillage application process, life as a pupil at Serle Court and insights into careers at the Commercial Chancery Bar, with a chance to ask questions. This event will take place in-person. After hearing from a panel of barristers, students will be able to chat to barristers of different seniorities over refreshments. Although we hope to accommodate as many students in person as possible, unfortunately we have capacity limits in chambers and so places will be offered on a first-come, first served basis. For those who are not able or who prefer not to attend in person, we are holding a second online event from 18.30 on Thursday 24th November 2022.

Students who would like to attend either event should email their request FAO April Fisher pupillage@serlecourt.co.uk stating whether they are applying for the in-person or the online event. Students will receive an email confirming their place.

Diversity Solutions: Access to Law

A virtual careers event created exclusively for students with long-term health conditions or disabilities that helps connect students interested in starting a career in law with major law firms. Francis Taylor Building (FTB) Pupillage Open Evening

Are you interested in public and administrative law, environmental law, or the legal process governing what gets built where and how? Then you may be interested in a career at the public and environmental Bar. This will be a hybrid event with the opportunity for participants to attend in Chambers or remotely. It will take the form of a panel discussion with members of Chambers with different specialisms within Chambers’ practice areas and at different stages of their career as panellists. For those attending in person, there will be an opportunity to chat to members in a more informal setting after the panel discussion. Interpreting Careers in the EU

This session will raise awareness of amazing career opportunities with European languages and answer questions about what it’s like working as a conference interpreter. There will be a brief presentation and time for Q+A afterwards . Speaker bio: Beth Black is from the UK and studied French and German at university, followed by a Masters in Interpreting and Translation at the University of Bath. She started working as a freelance interpreter and translator based in Brussels in 2012, before becoming a full-time interpreter at the European Commission in 2015. She interprets from French, German and Dutch into English.
