The Legal Cheek Commercial Awareness AcademyThe Academy is designed to help boost students’ business and legal sector knowledge as they apply for training contracts. A virtual session on people skills, delivered by Dan Kayne, general counsel (routes) of Network Rail and founder of the O Shaped Lawyer.

DiversCity in Law: Free online LGBTQ+ legal careers eventFirms will include RPC, Reed Smith, Weil, Milbank, Pinsent Masons, Mayer Brown, Sidley, Ashurst, Ropes & Gray, Hogan Lovells, Latham & Watkins, Linklaters, BCLP, Covington, CMS, White & Case and Arnold and Porter. This event has been created to help LGBTQ+ Undergraduate and Postgraduate students find out more about potential careers in law with our participating firms. We’ll be discussing being LGBTQ+ in the workplace and specific graduate and internship schemes. After the event, students can apply for mentoring opportunities with our clients too. |

LawCareersNet LIVE LondonCounty Hall, London, SE1 7PBThe LawCareersNetLIVE events are intensive, one-day student conferences where excellent candidates discover how law firms really work, looking at the business drivers of national and international law firms and how a career might progress in this sort of firm. Delegate fee: £29 (payable on acceptance of delegate place). We are offering a number of free places across our LawCareersNetLIVE events to delegates from low socio-economic backgrounds, and those who might not be able to afford the delegate fee. The Legal Cheek Virtual Pupillage Fair 2021Our Pupillage Fairs have capacity for up to 2,000 students, making them the largest bar careers events in the UK. The Fairs give students from all parts of the UK the opportunity to meet the nation’s leading chambers from their laptops. In addition to video walk-ins with chambers’ pupillage recruitment teams each Fair has six careers and commercial awareness virtual workshops delivered by leading barristers. |

Wellbeing Session for Undergraduate StudentsWellbeing Services are holding an online session dedicated to our undergraduate students, especially for those in Year 1 of their studies. The session will include an introduction to Wellbeing Support Services, followed by topics that will be particularly relevant to first years (such as how to prepare for your first assessments and exam season, etc.) plus a Q&A. |
