How do I use this calendar?

You can click on an event to display further information about it.

The toolbar above the calendar has buttons to view different events. Use the left and right arrow icons to view events in the past and future. The button inbetween returns you to today's view. The button to the right of this shows a mini-calendar to let you quickly jump to any date.

The dropdown box on the right allows you to see a different view of the calendar, such as an agenda or a termly view.

If this calendar has tags, you can use the labelled checkboxes at the top of the page to select just the tags you wish to view, and then click "Show selected". The calendar will be redisplayed with just the events related to these tags, making it easier to find what you're looking for.

Research Seminar - Gemma Hobcraft, St Mary's University London
Room S2.12 Law School, Social Sciences Building

Title: Imagining 2050: Regulating the Future of Biolaw

Abstract: The year 2020 is 30 years on from the Human Fertilisation and Embryology Act which established the framework for the regulation of assisted reproductive technologies and research in the United Kingdom – is it now time for broader, bolder regulation to address issues of genetics, commercial genomics and cross-border big data?

This talk will be imagining the regulator of the future and the issues that it may have to face thirty years on, in 2050.

Gemma Hobcraft is a Barrister at Doughty Street Chambers- specialising in health care regulation, a Lecturer in Law at St Mary’s University and a former Member and Deputy Chair of the Human Fertilisation and Embryology Authority (HFEA). Gemma is published in the fields of human rights, assisted reproduction and health care regulation & is currently writing a book on Biolaw.
