AllAboutLaw - a resource for aspiring solicitors - is hosting a virtual law fair between 18-22nd October alongside more than 100 virtual sessions across the academic year. Last year, we had 10,000 students and more than 40 law firms join us.

An opportunity for graduates and soon-to-be graduates to gain insider information on getting hired by the UK's top employers, listen to inspiring talks and learn about postgraduate study. #NGW2021 has live Q&A sessions, giveaways and insider tips from the UK's top employers and educators.

Each year Chambers interviews over a thousand trainee lawyers, pupils, hiring partners, managing partners and barristers, whose comments offer the vivid insights students need to make good decisions and apply with confidence. This session will demonstrate how to get the most out of our research and analysis.

At Careers in the Public Sector, you will gain an understanding of the different roles and career paths open to you. Representatives from organisations working in the public sector will deliver a series of virtual presentations. Following the presentations, there will be an opportunity for networking with the speakers in an online Q&A session.

Alison Peyton, Marketing Manager at Vantage, will be talking about how to apply to commercial law firms and where to start. Alison will talk you through the journey from deciding where to be a lawyer and what skills you can start developing in your first year at university, to how to get ready to start the vacation scheme application process this autumn. She'll also share her top tips on how to network virtually!

The advanced session will cover: Use Lexis Library to perform more complex legal research; Use the Legislation, cases and journals search forms in a more detailed way; Understand the value of topics; Arrive at more comprehensive results and Individually take the advanced certification.

This webinar will be a short presentation on creating CVs and covering letters and completing application forms. It will be followed by the opportunity to ask any questions that you may have in regards to writing effective applications.
