Dr Rachael Blakey | Director of Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion: Student Facing
Hi! My Name is Rachael, and I am your Student Facing Director of Equality, Diversity and Inclusion (ED&I). You might know me from teaching Property or one of the many Family Law modules here at Warwick. I am your point of contact for any ED&I concerns. This includes disability, feelings of inclusion/exclusion, race, gender, religious beliefs, and supporting students who are carers. I work closely with the School’s Undergraduate and Postgraduate students to create programs that address student priorities on ED&I related concerns. You will see me at event slike Welcome Week, SLLC Meetings, and of course our ED&I committee.

Naveera Abhayawickrama | ED&I Officer
Hi, my name is Naveera, and I am in my final year. I’m super excited to be one of the EDI representatives and to work alongside a lovely team! My interests in law surround child welfare, family law and international human rights. Alongside my studies, I’m involved in several outreach and widening participation initiatives, and as an international student myself, I’m passionate about creating an inclusive and supportive environment where students feel seen and valued.
Tanvee Chandra | ED&I Officer
Hi, my name is Tanvee, and I’m in my second year. I’m really excited and honored to be one of your EDI reps this year! Moving to university can be both exciting and overwhelming, and I know how much of a difference it makes to feel included and represented. That’s why my aim is to help create a space where everyone feels comfortable, supported, and heard. Alongside my studies, I’m involved in several volunteer programes, and I’m particularly interested in medical negligence law and intellectual property. I’m looking forward to working with this amazing team and helping create a community where everyone truly feels like they belong.
Hubert Chua | ED&I Officer
Hi everyone! My name is Hubert, and I’m going into my second year of law school. I’m excited to be part of the EDI representative team this year and look forward to meeting all of you! I know moving into university can feel overwhelming, so I hope to be a familiar face if you ever have questions or just want to chat. Along with the rest of the team, I’ll be helping to run events to make settling into university life a bit easier. And if you’re a returning student, please come along too! I’d love to meet you and make new friends. My main interests are in commercial law areas (private equity, capital markets, M&A).

Rohan Williamson | ED&I Officer
Hello! My name is Rohan, and I'm delighted to be one of your ED&I reps for this year. As an openly queer student, I hope to develop our LGBTQ+ community here at Warwick Law School. Furthermore, as an international student, I understand the challenges associated with moving to a completely different country. Hence, I am keen to support students with this transition. In terms of law, my interests can be found in both data privacy and environmental law. I'm really looking forward to working with such a wonderful team!
