Meet the ED&I Team
Dr Rachael Blakey | Director of Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion: Student Facing
Hi! My Name is Rachael, and I am your Student Facing Director of Equality, Diversity and Inclusion (ED&I). You might know me from teaching Property or one of the many Family Law modules here at Warwick. I am your point of contact for any ED&I concerns. This includes disability, feelings of inclusion/exclusion, race, gender, religious beliefs, and supporting students who are carers. I work closely with the School’s Undergraduate and Postgraduate students to create programs that address student priorities on ED&I related concerns. You will see me at event slike Welcome Week, SLLC Meetings, and of course our ED&I committee.
If you would like to learn more about ED&I or have a concern you would like to discuss, please contact me via email.
Nasryn Binti Nasution | ED&I Officer
Hi everyone! My name is Nasryn, and I am a final year law student from Malaysia. I’m so excited to serve as your EDI Officer this year! In this role, I aim to address a range of EDI issues, with a particular focus on advancing gender and racial diversity. As a woman of colour, I am deeply committed to creating spaces where minority groups- who have historically been underrepresented in the legal field- can connect, share experiences, and thrive. My goal is to make our events this year a safe space to foster a sense of community, and I feel very privileged to get the opportunity to do so through this role.

See you all soon!
Leo Rudd | ED&I Officer
Hello everyone! My name is Leo, and I am a second-year law student. I feel extremely fortunate to be your EDI Officer this academic year, as I look forward to helping run different events that will promote EDI across Warwick Law School. I want to create events that are both educational and enjoyable for everyone. I know that starting university can feel exciting but also intimidating and overwhelming. So, from these events I hope to create a strong, welcoming community where we can all support one another, but in return encourage each other to explore outside of our comfort zones.

Olivia Cooper | ED&I Officer
Hi everyone! My name is Liv and I'm a final year law student. I'm looking forward to meeting everyone and creating an inclusive space within the law school. I am very excited to be your ED&I officer for this year and aim to run a range of both social and educational events to make everyone in the law school feel seen and welcome. As a queer neurodivergent student, I know how overwhelming and lonely the university can be so it's my aim to create a supportive community and increase awareness about the existing aid for neurodivergent students. The law school contains a variety of students with different backgrounds and needs, it is vital that everyone receives the support needed to create a successful academic and social life. I am very excited to work towards this with all of you over the coming academic year.
