The ‘EASG Current Affairs Refresh’ focuses on major current developments in (East) Asia. The event aims to bring together BA, MA, and PhD students, as well as academic staff. Everybody is welcomed, and you don’t need to be an expert in the area! If you are interested in knowing more about the topic, come along with as many questions as you like – they will only make the discussion more interesting.

The topic will be Japan's 3 National Security Documents. Some potential avenues of discussion will be Japan's security policy, balance of power in East Asia and theories related to identity, and more. Before the informal discussion, refreshments will be provided.
