Project Update: Final AAB Meeting

We held a meeting with members of our Academic Advisory Board (AAB) to update them on our progress since our last meeting in September 2021. We also asked for thier feedback on the dissemination activities we are organising as well as on some project outputs. We had a really great discussion with them and we look forward to taking thier advise onboard as we move to the final phase of the project.

New Blog: How to achieve a balance of information, knowledge and action in the humanitarain context.

The Data and Displacement project has recently published a new blog. The blog is published by the Geneva Centre for Humanitarian Studies (GCHS) and it discusses how to achieve a balance between information, knowledge and action within the humanitarian context. The blog builds on the discussions that emerged during our earlier workshop on the ethics and efficacy of data in the humanitarian targeting and protection of internally displaced persons which GCHS hosted.

All Phase 2 Fieldwork Now Completed!

We have now completed our Phase 2 data collection in Northern Nigeria and South Sudan. In total, this means we have conducted interviews with 174 IDPs and practitioners. We would like to extend huge thanks to our partners from the University of Ibadan and the University of Juba for their dedicated work. The team is very excited to move now to an intensive period of analysis!
