Philosophy Integrated Year Application Form

Current Year of Study (required)

If you are not currently a 1st year student you are not eligible for this scheme. Please check Intercalated year applications if you're a 2nd year interested going on an exchange.

Integrated year counts for your degree. This means that you will need to take 2nd year modules abroad that are sufficiently similar to the 2nd year modules you take at Warwick, and that bear equal amount of credits. For example, if you are required to take HMP in your 2nd year at Warwick (30 CATS) you need to find one module (or a combination of modules) that teaches the similar material (British Empiricists + Kant), at the appropriate level (honours), with the (near) equivalent teaching load. This also applies for your core modules beyond philosophy, if you are not doing straight philosophy degree (i.e. politics, economics, psychology, history, etc.).

It is your responsibility to identify (at the application stage) and enrol in (once there) at the appropriate modules. If you are not sure whether the module abroad is sufficiently similar to your core module, please consult with the relevant Departmental office at Warwick.

You can find some information about modules at McMaster here (see 'Searching for Classes').
