Resubmission Assessment Methods 2025-26 *Under Construction*

In line with the University's Right to Remedy failure policy, all students have the automatic right to remedy failure of a module on one occasion. This will usually take place in late August/early September.

Reassessment methods for Philosophy modules vary depending on what has already been submitted.

Please note, reassessments can only be offered where a student has failing mark for the module overall. If a student has passed a module but failed a specific component, a resubmission cannot be offered, even where there are mitigating circumstances.

The resubmission methods listed below apply for all students recommended a further attempt by the exam board. This includes all further first attempts (for an uncapped mark), resits (for a mark capped at 40) and deferrals.

If you believe there are mitigating circumstances relating to your performance in this module, students should report this via the “Personal Circumstances” tab in Tabula for consideration by your departmental Exam Board.

For full details about the resubmission methods for the modules you are taking, please see below.
