Delivery Options, Teaching and Assessment

Delivery Options

Our delivery options include:

    • Face to face learning at the Warwick campus in the UK
    • Face to face learning in London
    • Face to face learning in-country
    • Online learning – either live sessions (synchronous) or recorded sessions (asynchronous) which can be accessed at any time by the learners
    • Blended learning – a mix of both online and face to face. For example you may opt for a programme which is taught online but includes a period of time on the Warwick campus

    Teaching Methods

The way we teach the academic element of your bespoke programme will depend on what you are looking for, the subject you opt for, the age of students and the required qualification level and the delivery method you prefer.

Face to face teaching methods include lectures, seminars, workshops and project work.

Our programmes also include the option of guest speakers from outside of the University who share their expertise, knowledge and experience in an area related to the academic content.

We can also arrange industry visits either locally or further afield in London for example.

Resources for classes will be tailored for the programme and provided online. If required we can also supply homework and resources for study outside of the classroom depending on the number of teaching hours and study required.

    Assessment

If you would like your programme to have an assessment, we are able to build this into your programme. There are many different assessment methods available, examples include exams, coursework, group work, portfolios, reports and presentations. If you require an assessment, the programme will include the design and delivery of the required assessment, revision classes and marking.

Individual transcripts will be provided for the students on the programme no more than three weeks after the assessment date.

    Certificates and Accreditation

    Certificate of attendance

All students on our programmes will be awarded a certificate of attendance from the University of Warwick upon completion of the programme. Certificates can be awarded to students at an end of programme award finale, posted out as a batch to your institution or sent individually to students at the end of the programme to their home addresses.

CATs (Credit Accumulation Transfer Scheme) and Accreditation

    CATs

If you are looking for a programme which is more than a taster, we are able to provide credit-bearing programmes. The number of credits will depend on how many teaching hours you wish to include in the programme. Notionally, one credit is derived from 10 hours of student effort. This can include teaching, assessment and independent study. If you would like a 15 CAT module for example this would be 150 learning hours, a 30 CAT module would be 300 learning hours and so on.

The number of credits awarded to each student is the same for the completion of the programme but the level of achievement is captured in the ‘mark’ on the transcript if you have opted for an assessment.

    Accreditation

The transcripts can also be used for credit at students’ home institution if you are officially recognising the programme as part of the curriculum. It is ultimately up to the home institution as to how much credit is recognised but we are happy to provide a recommendation on the number of CATs and the necessary information on the syllabus, teaching and learning hours and learning outcomes in order to support this.

Another option is for Warwick to officially accredit the programme. We can work with you on this, the process takes a little longer so the lead in time for your programme may be extended slightly.
