On 7th and 8th November we welcomes over 150 delegates to our Warwick campus for our first PropTech conference. The event brought together businesses, entrepreneurs, policymakers, researchers and students to discuss a range of issues related to this growing sector. The event was chaired by Honorary Research Fellow, Matt Hanmer. Day 1 was and industry focused event, and we heard from a range of speakers. The session began with presentations from Ram Gopal and Kalina Staykova, outlining the Gillmore Centre's research on PropTech through the FutureFinanceAI group. We followed up with an industry panel chaired by Hilary Smyth-Allen of SuperTech West Midlands, presentations from entrepreneurs and the regional development agency, and an impressive keynote speech from Andrew Baum of the University of Oxford. Day 2 switched to an academic conference, featuring researchers from across the globe working on themes related to PropTech and FinTech.
