Research

OHRM is an extremely active research group. We publish widely, in major journals in our respective fields, including the Academy of Management Review, Organisation Studies, Human Relations, Work Employment and Society, Organisation Science, the British Journal of Sociology, the British Journal of Industrial Relations, the Journal of Management Studies and Industrial Relations. Members of the group hold research grants and awards from bodies including the ESRC, Leverhulme, the British Academy and the European Union. We hosted the Critical Management Studies (CMS) conference in 2009 and the Work, Employment and Society (WES) conference in 2013.

Members of the group are presently involved in studies that address a range of topics, including globalisation, comparative institutional analysis, leadership, organisational knowledge and learning, organising and sense making, management of change, ethics/power, social movements, trade unions, equality, European social policy, employee participation, varieties of non-standard work and employment.
