Gah-Kai Leung
"My name is Gah-Kai (pronounced 'GAR-kay') and I'm a PhD student in Politics & International Studies at Warwick. I first got involved with EUTOPIA as part of the pilot programme for the Certificate of Internationalisation (EUCI) and now aim to consolidate Warwick's relationships with our European institutional partners in the network.
I have an ongoing interest in student mobility, especially at the doctoral level where there are few opportunities to collaborate and share research interests across national borders. As a researcher in natural hazards, I am also keen to encourage pan-European efforts to promote sustainability, net zero and environmental resilience. Coming from a multicultural and multilingual background, I am committed to demonstrating the value of intercultural understanding in confronting the global challenges of today and tomorrow."
Caitlyn Scott
My name is Caitlyn Scott and I am currently studying an MSc in Humanitarian Engineering. I became aware of EUTOPIA through a faculty-member whilst completing my BA in Politics and International Studies at Warwick. Since taking up the position of Student Council Representative for the University of Warwick, I have been fortunate enough to travel to Lisbon, Brussels and Dresden to converse with students and faculty from like-minded institutions to work on the creation of a space that a European-centred institution, like EUTOPIA, can thrive in.
Alongside my work within the Student Councill, I have interest, and provide the student perspective on, discussions involving local ecosystems; the local, regional and global realities of EUTOPIA and related activities.
