Associate Professor Basia Diug

What motivated you to work with the Monash Warwick Alliance?Shirin Rai

I was very keen to get involved with Monash Warwick Alliance after meeting a visiting fellow Associate Prof Debbi Marais. After a few meetings we realised that we shared a common approach to our work and planned to work together on a number projects which we have successfully done.

What are your top three collaboration achievements so far?

Although in its infancy as it was delayed by the COVID-19 pandemic The Global Classroom: learning without borders project has brought together an international team from Australia, Malysia and UK. It will develop a method of implementing case-based learning at an international level.

What do you hope to ultimately achieve through your collaboration?

Through this collaboration I’d like to achieve a means of connecting and working on international and enterprising projects.

Can you share one fun fact about yourself or your work?

I am a passionate epidemiologist who loves dogs and watching the Great British Bake off.
