Phil Woodruff awarded IUVSTA Prize for Science

Professor Phil Woodruff has been awarded the IUVSTA Prize for Science 2019, for "outstanding contributions to deepening our understanding of the structure of surface through the development and application of broadly applicable tools now widely available to the surface science community".

Francesca Crucinio wins prize for display in Parliament

Congratulations to Francesca Crucinio from Statistics, who has won a prize for the excellence of her mathematical research in a competition at the House of Commons, after presenting her work to politicians and expert judges.

WMG Autonomous Vehicle testing Simulator wins gold

Researchers from WMG have won gold at National Instruments Engineering Impact Awards for the 3xD Simulator project, a world’s first-of-its-kind facility that enables autonomous vehicles to drive around in a virtual environment.
