Professor Phil Woodruff has been awarded the IUVSTA Prize for Science 2019, for "outstanding contributions to deepening our understanding of the structure of surface through the development and application of broadly applicable tools now widely available to the surface science community".

Researchers from WMG have won gold at National Instruments Engineering Impact Awards for the 3xD Simulator project, a world’s first-of-its-kind facility that enables autonomous vehicles to drive around in a virtual environment.

The Power Electronics Applications and Technology in Energy Research group, led by Professor Phil Mawby from Engineering, has won the University Research Group of the Year 2018 at the TechWorks Awards.
