Buses and Bus Passes

National Express offer a discounted monthly or annual bus pass for staff.

National Express No.14

The University has partnered with National Express to provide a new bus service, bus number 14. This service is subsidised by the University, so you can use it for a fare of only £1 if shown a University ID card. The service connects campus to Coventry City Centre, Tile Hill Railway station, Eastern Green and Cannon Park shops. Find out more.

A minibus from the bus on demand service

West Midlands Bus on Demand

West Midlands Bus on Demand is a new type of bus service. It does not follow a specific route or timetable. Instead, you book a journey, and a bus will pick you up at a time you choose. Individual journey prices are based on distance and are charged anywhere between £1 - £6. You can add up to 9 people to your journey for £1 each.

Car Sharing

In partnership with Liftango, we have launched a carpooling scheme which could save you money and time, along with having a positive impact on the environment. You can use the service as a rider (car passenger) or a driver.

Cycle to Work Scheme

As part of our commitment to protecting the environment, reducing traffic congestion on campus and improving the health and wellbeing of staff we operate a Cycle to Work Scheme.

Employees seeking to commute to work by bike can hire a bike (including e-bikes), throughvia salary sacrifice from your pay over a 12-month period, with the option to own it at the end of this time. This may result in savings depending upon your personal circumstances.

West Midlands Cycle Hire

You can find and hire a bike at several docking stations on campus 24/7. Ebikes are also now available for hire and they can make pedalling easier!ns in a new wind

There are two ways to ride with West Midlands Cycle Hire, you can either buy bundles of minutes up-front or pay as you ride.

Save £s on rides between 6am-11am

Ride between 6am and 11am and WMCA cover the cost of the £1 unlock fee – meaning you’ll only pay for the minutes you ride.
