What is the Warwick Network?
Staff Away Day - Save the Date
Message from Jon Baldwin, University Registrar
This year's Warwick Network event will take place on Friday 14 September.
Following a similar structure to last year's event, the day will give staff the chance to hear from the Vice-Chancellor and me on the new University Strategy and Implementation Plan and will also include a keynote address from Commonwealth Games gold medallist, and Warwick Honorary Graduate, David Moorcroft OBE, MBE.
Last year's inaugural Warwick Network was a one-day conference giving ALC staff the chance to hear from senior management and to think through the issues facing the University.
Building on the success of last year, and incorporating feedback from delegates, this second event will be open to all staff groups and held outside the school holidays.
The day will offer a number of breakout sessions.
- One third will focus on key goals in the Strategy
- One third will allow development of other good ideas arising from the Warwick's Future project
- One third will concentrate on the exchange of best practice
Gold medallist and former Chief Executive of UK Athletics, David Moorcroft, will speak on turning strategy into action.
Plenary sessions, led by the Vice-Chancellor and me, will present and explain the new University Strategy and Implementation Plan.
The workshop sessions will allow smaller good ideas arising from the Warwick's Future, but not included in the Strategy, to be thought through and developed.
Jon F Baldwin
Registrar
