Dr James Poskett wins the 2023 Jerry Bentley Prize in World History
Horizons: A Global History of Science (Penguin, 2022) by Dr James Poskett, Associate Professor of the History of Science, has been awarded the 2023 Jerry Bentley Prize from the American Historical Association, which is for "the most outstanding book on world history".
Previous winners include Professor Priya Satia (Stanford), Professor Adam Clulow (UT Austin), and Professor Erika Rappaport (UC Santa Barbra).
Researchers to benefit from £18 million investment in world-class frontier bioscience
Researchers at The University of Warwick are among four world-class teams receiving a share of £18 million to pursue transformational bioscience research programmes. The School of Life Sciences team will investigate the bacterial cell wall – which could help to develop new classes of antibiotics, tackling the global challenge of antibiotic resistance. The project is led by Professor David Roper in collaboration with Dr Séamus Holden, Professor Phill Stansfeld and Dr Stephen Cochrane (Queen's University Belfast).

At today’s ceremony (Friday 21st July) former Law student Bience Gawanas will be awarded one of these honorary degrees in recognition of her outstanding contributions and achievements.
Dr Serena Natile awarded prestigious ISRF Fellowship
Dr Serena Natile, Associate Professor at Warwick Law School, has been awarded the Independent Social Research Foundation (ISRF) Early Career Fellowship for her project ‘Transnational Social Security Law in the Digital Age: Towards a Grassroots Politics of Redistribution’.
Dr Alison Struthers wins Warwick Wows Award
The Warwick Wows celebrate amazing work, projects, and achievements at the University. The Law School’s Dr Alison Struthers won the award for her work on the School Tasking Project, an exciting outreach project enabling young people to learn about interesting aspects of the law and making it more accessible for them.
