If you have recently installed, or are looking at moving to, Office 2007 you may find Microsoft's online interactive guide to be useful.  Here you can click on a command/button in the current version of Office and be shown where the equivalent command/button is in Office 2007. IT Services also has a range of training and online resources available.

 

IT Services delivers a wide range of training courses suitable for both staff and students. These courses cover standard applications, such as Microsoft Office, as well as more specific academic applications such as EndNote, SPSS and Matlab.

Microsoft Business Certification is a valuable credential that recognises the desktop computing skills needed to use the full features and functionality of the 2007 Microsoft Office system.

Office 2007 will be available for installation via the Warwick Tree at the start of the Academic Year.   We are offering all staff the chance to come and see Office 2007, as well as ask any questions, at Roadshows across campus. There is no agenda - so feel free to drop-in anytime between 10am and 2pm.  Check the dates and venues for these events.

IT Services are now taking orders for the new Staff and Student Guides. If you would like to order any Staff and/or Student Guides, they can be ordered online.

Did you know that IT Services run Student Induction sessions at the start of each Academic Year? These sessions help students make the most of the resources available to them and cover important information relating to computer use and how they can stay safe online. If you would like to book a Student Induction session, you can do so online

Due to popular demand, we will be running a third 'Getting started with SiteBuilder2' course this term. So for those of you that missed out due to previous courses being fully booked - this is your chance!  The course is open to staff and will take place on 29 November from 9.30- 12.30, Room 019, ITS Training Suite. Over the coming weeks, IT Services will be running a series of Roadshows across campus providing all staff an opportunity to ask questions and find out what’s new. Each event will run from 10:00 until 16:00 and provide a mixture of  formal presentations and 'drop-in' sessions.
