The new memorandum of understanding sets the foundation for:

  • Modular education programmes to support employee career growth
  • Joint R&D initiatives to drive innovation in engineering and manufacturing specifically in AI, Autonomy/ Connectivity, Cyber security, Smart Manufacturing and Digital Twins
  • Opportunities for EngD and PhD candidates to gain hands-on experience within Tata Technologies
  • Internships and placements for WMG students
  • Sharing industry insights with guest lectures delivered by experts at both WMG and Tata Technologies

PhD student selected to present at House of Commons

Ananya Singh, a third-year PhD student under the supervision of Dr Wing Ying Chow, was selected to present her research at the prestigious STEM for Britain event held at the House of Commons on March 11, 2025. Her research focuses on the 'Development of solid-state NMR approaches for probing fungal and human matrices with relevance to human disease.'


Dr Carol Wolkowitz

The Department of Sociology is deeply saddened by the death of Dr Carol Wolkowitz on March 4th 2025. Carol was a hugely valued member both of the Department and of the Centre for the Study of Women and Gender. She will be remembered as a much-loved and inspirational teacher who was devoted to helping students grapple with ideas and hone their sociological imaginations.

Undergraduate student attends Posters in Parliament event

Gleb Berloff, 3rd year undergraduate student studying Physics with Astrophysics, submitted an entry to the Posters in Parliament event, based on activity cycles in Sun-like stars. The opportunity was advertised through IATL and included a tour of the House of Lords and Westminster Hall, a workshop titled ‘Get your voice heard in UK Parliament’ followed by the Student Research Poster Exhibition in the afternoon.

WLS Chess Tournament Winner!

Congratulations to final year Law student Christopher Ilag, for winning the second Warwick Law School Chess Tournament! Sixteen players took part in matches throughout Term 2, making it a great competition. A big thank you to all students and staff who joined in and supported the event.
