Support for staff and students impacted by the earthquake in Morocco
Our thoughts are with everyone affected by the tragic earthquake in Morocco. Some of our students, staff, and alumni will have loved ones in the country and will be understandably worried. We want to make sure our Moroccan community at Warwick knows that support is available – both for emotional help and for more practical assistance.
Support for staff
Please reach out if you’ve been impacted by the news of the earthquake and would like some support. You can make use of the Staff Wellbeing Hub, or contact the Employee Assistance Programme for confidential support at any time of day. Prayer and support from the Chaplaincy is also available, for people of any religion or none.
Support for students
We have been in touch with our students from Morrocco to let them know about the support available. Students can contact the Wellbeing Support team through the wellbeing portal, and speak to their personal tutor or supervisor, who can offer advice or help students access guidance across the University. Any students experiencing financial difficulties can contact the Student Funding Support team, and for spiritual and emotional support the multi-faith chaplaincy – including Islamic Prayer facilities – are open daily.
