Sarah Bennett
Student Opportunity

The Thrive programme empowers female and female-identifying students through interactive sessions with inspirational speakers and mentoring opportunities, promoting personal development and growth.

Sarah's dedication to inclusivity and innovation shines through her expansion of Thrive, offering tailored programmes to meet the needs of the diverse cohort of participants.

Through Sarah’s efforts, 92% of participants reported increased confidence, 78% felt more resilient, and 86% gained greater agency, demonstrating the programme's transformative impact.

This year, programme has been piloted with Warwick Scholars of all genders.

Sarah's nominator told us:

"Sarah's innovation and creative ideas, as well as her talent for creating connections by building relationships across departments and with external mentors, has enabled Thrive to thrive! The programme which only ran for the first time in Academic Year 2023-4 will double its reach in Academic Year 2024-5."

Student feedback:

"It was wonderful. I met a community of strong women and I felt very empowered. As a first-year international student, I felt overwhelmed with everything going around. Thrive helped me understand that it is normal to feel like this, and that I am not alone in feeling this way. I met a community of amazing women who share unique traits and are empowering and inspiring in their own way."
