Testing and student travel update

There is a lot happening as we near the end of term, so here’s a summary of the key things related to testing and student travel this week.

Asymptomatic testing

Asymptomatic testing is now underway, with most testing taking place at The Slate until Sunday 6 December, from 8am to 8pm.

Limited testing is also now available from 7 to 15 December, to cover staff and students who have face to face teaching in week 10.

Christmas vacation

Many students are staying on campus or in the local area over the winter break and there will be a full programme of events and activities to help them feel connected and supported, and to make sure that staff providing these services also have the support they need.

Students have been asked to tell us their plans, and we will review these responses to understand who is staying and offer support.

January start of term guidance

We are still waiting for further guidance from Government on student return in January.

We will share more information as soon we receive it and can outline arrangements at Warwick.

Accessing support

You'll find wellbeing support sessions and resources on our Staff Wellbeing Hub.

Explore the support sessions running during December.

You can also access confidential advice through the Employee Assistance Programme.

Student support

We are continuing our outbound wellbeing calls to all students who need to self-isolate, and we have a dedicated self- isolation support line too.

Staying informed

We'll continue to share updates for staff through insite, inbox insite and your department.

Read the previous update, about local tiers (27 November).

We continue to communicate with students to keep them informed. You can read the latest student messages in the student newsletter archive.
