Congratulations to Alex Rutherford from the Department of History, who has been awarded the University of South Carolina’s prestigious Martin Luther King Day Social Justice Award. Alex, who is currently on exchange from Warwick, was nominated for the Social Justice Award by his Gospel Choir professor, Dr. Carl Wells, for his positive impact on the organization.

Professor Maureen Freely of Warwick’s Department of English and Comparative Literary Studies has been made a Fellow of the Royal Society of Literature (RSL).

Professor Jon Mee, Professor of Romanticism Studies, Department of English and Comparative Literary Studies, has been awarded a Leverhulme Major Project Grant.

Peter Blegvad, English and Creative Writing professor, has written and narrated the play ‘Use It Or Lose It’ for BBC Radio 3, which will be broadcast on Saturday 3 December 2011.
