Ishita Ranjan wins HE Social Entrepreneurship Catalyst Award
Ishita Ranjan, Warwick Business School, has received a HE Social Entrepreneurship Catalyst Award from UNltd – an organization dedicated to supporting social entrepreneurs.
Ciaran Singh and Surojit Chakraverti win Brightest Business Brain Prizes
Ciaran Singh, Economics (studying PPE) and Surojit Chakraverti, Warwick Business School have received the first and second prizes respectively at the Brightest Business Brain competition. Ciaran will receive a prize of £1,000 for first place and Surojit will receive £500 for second place.
Adrian Hayes in Top 3 Entries to Forensic Faculty Essay Prize 2011
Adrian Hayes, a third year medical student, wrote an essay that was named one of the top three received in the Royal College of Psychiatrists' Forensic Faculty Essay Prize 2011.
Herman Coetzee
The University is saddened to report the death of Herman Coetzee who was an employee of BOTEC (Botswana Technology Centre) and a PhD student in Engineering at Warwick. He was due to finish his doctorate in 2011 on solar thermal chimney power, a topic of great importance to Botswana. He died on 5 December on the day after his return to Botswana to work on his experimental rig.
Hannah McAllister
The University is saddened to hear of the death of Warwick Business School Masters student Hannah McAllister. Hannah died following a road traffic accident on Thursday 21 October 2010. She was studying on WBS's MA Management and Organizational Analysis programme.
