Warwick Wins Three out of Fifty National Teaching Awards
Professor Ed Peile, Head of Division of Medical Education at the Warwick Medical School, Professor Jonothan Neelands, of the Institute of Education, and Dr Mike Neary, Director of a Centre for Excellence in Teaching and Learning, have won three of the fifty National Teaching Awards offered for 2007 by the Higher Education Academy to be used for personal development in learning and teaching.
This means that Warwick has won the maximum possible number of awards.

Warwick Farewell - James Eells 1926-2007
James Eells, Warwick’s first Professor of Analysis in the Department of Mathematics, died in February.
Born in Cleveland, Ohio, Professor Eells moved to Britain in the late sixties. He was invited to run a small symposium at Warwick in the summer of 1967 and joined the Mathematics department as its first Professor of Analysis in 1969.
