Warwick People - Brian Woods-Scawen
University Council member Brian Woods-Scawen has been appointed as University Treasurer. Mr Woods-Scawen has been a member of Council since 2001 and has also served as Chairman of the University’s Audit Committee, Chairman of the Arts Faculty Advisory Board and as a member of the board of the Arts Centre. He was a research student at the University from 1968 to 1971.
Honours Hat-trick for Academics
Three Warwick academics have received awards in the New Year's Honours list. Professor Howard Dalton, Biological Sciences, received a knighthood, Professor Muhammad Anwar, Centre for Ethnic Relations was made an OBE for services to higher education and Jenny Hocking, Associate Dean at the Business School was made an MBE for services to higher education.

Nicola Owen to become Academic Registrar
Nicola Owen has been appointed
as Warwick’s
Academic Registrar. Following David Law’s move to focus on international
matters, Nicola will take on additional management responsibility for Teaching
Quality, Admissions and Student Recruitment and Marketing.
Brief Encounter - Joy Warren
Joy Warren is the new Resource Management Coordinator at Warwick. Her role involves coordinating and putting into place the new University schemes for recycling waste materials (recyclates) throughout the University. The first and current scheme involves paper and card.
