Students at the University of Warwick are spending their lockdown chatting online with elderly people in France, bridging intergenerational and international divides in a time marked by isolation. Around fifty French language students from Warwick’s School of Modern Languages and Cultures are currently taking part in the programme ‘ShareAmi’, launched by the French non-profit Oldyssey.

EUTOPIA, an established alliance of six European universities that exists to create a connected and inclusive community addressing global and local challenges, has been successful in its bid for a €5m grant from the Erasmus+ ‘European Universities’ programme. June 2019

Created within the EUTOPIA Alliance, an ambitious union of nine-like minded European universities, the EUTOPIA Student Think Tank announces the creation of a platform to empower students to share knowledge and ideas.

The EUTOPIA European University has announced its enlargement with three leading universities joining the consortium: Università Ca’Foscari Venezia (Italy), Technische Universität Dresden (Germany) and Universidade NOVA de Lisboa (Portugal).

Luciana Radut-Gaghi of EUTOPIA says: "We already had a strong relationship with the University of Warwick (England), added that of Brussels (Belgium) and three others, a Swedish, Barcelona and Slovenian, details Luciana Radut-Gaghi, vice-president in charge of the European alliance Eutopia in Cergy-Pontoise. Our universities are quite similar: young and with a comparable number of students.
