Brexit: Is May running out of time?

"The current Brexit impasse looks terrible, and several options are being discussed as to how to break this impasse.

"At this point in time, I am still more of the view that there is a good chance that the Prime Minister’s (amended) deal will just about pass when it is put to Parliament, by March 12th.

"This is informed in part by the so-called deadline effect in the art and science of negotiations. In any negotiation with a deadline, if an agreement is reached, it is reached at the eleventh hour - as it is only around then that minds are focused and compromises are made."
