The Girl On The Wall

Jean Baggott, current Warwick Undergraduate student will be in conversation about her book, The Girl On The Wall: One Life's Rich Tapestry, on 31st March at 6:30pm, at Lord Leycester's Hospital, Warwick.

The Girl On The Wall: One Life's Rich Tapestry is a moving life story told through the stitches of a hand-sewn tapestry. Each chapter features a circle from the tapestry and Jean’s accompanying narrative, exploring the circle and the memories it evokes. It reveals an ordinary life in extraordinary detail.

The book has been described by the Daily Mail as "a unique record of our life and times" and "an intricate tapestry of her memories that not only reflects the changing face of Britain, but also recalls a far simpler way of life." Jean has recently featured on Woman's Hour, ITV West Midlands and the Vanessa Feltz Show as well as others.

Come and have a glass of wine, talk to Jean, read her book and see her tapestry.

The event starts at 6.30pm on 31st March 2010 at the Lord Leycester Hospital, 60 High Street, Warwick CV34 4BH. Tickets are free, but strictly limited and are available from:
