We are working on a project with one of our clients, a leading global packaging and paper manufacturer and would like to conduct a research project looking at the barriers that are stopping people from producing waste and not recycling more.

It’s well documented that consumer awareness of the problem of waste is high and when asked consumers say they want to waste less and recycle more. But there is still a huge amount of packaging that goes into landfill. There is a gap between awareness and action. We want to investigate why this is the case and how different organisations can work together to change it.

We are interested in approaching this issue in a broader context of better management of all resources and food waste. In particular we are  interested in looking at the issue at a pan-European level and ultimately coming up with a mixture of policy recommendations and small ‘nudges’ that could be implemented by manufacturers/ CPG businesses/ retailers etc. at the consumer level. .

Is this something you would be interested in helping us with? If so, it would be great to discuss further, get some ball park costs and idea of the timescale for a project like this.

All the best
