Staging Time

Professor Hilary Marland and Rideout worked together on the project 'Staging Time'. They worked with men there who have neurodevelopmental conditions (learning disabilities, autism and early onset dementia) on a creative project about the history of prisoner health.

This was a joint event with the School for Cross-faculty studies. The exhibition displayed photos from the team's field research in 72 villages in Northern Thailand. The subject was the problem of drug resistance. The team aimed to understand rural health behaviour and medicine.

Les Murs Sont Temoins - These walls bear witness

This project created a soundscape for Portchester Castle based on the castle's history. It showed the castle as a place of incarceration, creativity and freedom during the French Revolution and Napoleonic Wars. The content included readings from registers, letters and plays.
