ERA academic engagement workshop at the Manufacturing Technology Centre (MTC)
This is an opportunity to find out more about the Factory in a Box (FiaB) project and the Smart Manufacturing Accelerator and to develop collaborative research projects which build on these developments and the potential of Industry 4.0.
The first part of the workshop will be a presentation of the project at the MTC and an opportunity to see the FiaB demonstrator.
The second part will focus on co-creation of projects with an energy application building on what has already been achieved with the FiaB demonstrator and linked to follow-on opportunities in areas such as robotics & automation, AI and machine learning, Industry 4.0 deployed manufacturing, virtual validation and other new manufacturing technologies.
A potential area of focus for the co-creation sessions is Electrification and applications linked to the Advanced Propulsion Centre (APC) and UKRI ‘Driving the electric revolution’ challenges. However, we are open to shaping the workshop around other research opportunities and future funding that you may think applicable.
To register your interest for the event please go to this page. To aid the design and facilitation of the workshop on the 11th there is a short questionnaire to complete regarding your research interests.
Spaces are limited to ensure co-creation sessions are focussed and we would like to ensure a good spread across ERA institutions so please register as soon as possible and share with colleagues who may wish to attend.
