UHCW Grand Round, Friday 20 May

Grand Round 1.00pm - 2.00pm

This UHCW Grand Round will provide a forum to discuss some of the current collaborations between University Departments and UHCW Clinical Directorates to provide innovative research-based solutions to current medical problems.

 

Programme:

  • Introduction (Professor Richard King, UHCW and Professor Caroline Meyer, Warwick Manufacturing Group)

  • Opportunities for Medical Diagnostics and Technology collaborations (Professor Jonathan Millar, Warwick Medical School)

  • The EVR Development with IDH and the Royal College of Surgeons (Mr Giles Pattison, UHCW)

  • Hip Replacement Impingement Prediction (Professor Richard King, UHCW)

  • Clinical applications of the Electronic Nose (Dr James Covington, School of Engineering)

  • Antimicrobial Resistance Network (Professor Matt Keeling / Dr Chandrika Nair, School of Life Sciences)

  • The Future of our Collaborations (Ms Hana Thomas, UHCW)

     

    Informal Networking 2.00pm - 3.00pm

    After the Grand Round, there will be an informal nibbles & networking opportunity with a particular focus on Warwick Interdisciplinary Antimicrobial Centre.
