Sustainable Warwick Network

The Sustainable Warwick Network (SWaN) is an initiative created by doctoral students and early-career fellows to promote collaborative research on the topic of sustainability at the University of Warwick.

Sustainability is a multifaceted concept - It demands the integration of different research fields in order to maximise efficiency and deliver solutions for the current environmental, social and economic problems. However, during our daily research, we catch ourselves isolated in our topics and not collaborating with colleagues that share the same goals. With this problem in mind, the SWaN was created as a hub to promote discussions between research students and early career fellows from different departments. Our goal is to facilitate the identification of overlapping capabilities/challenges and catalyse collaborative research in a friendly and creative environment.

The next meeting is taking place at 11th May, at “The Graduate” (annexe to Dirty Duck), from 10.30 – 11.30 am. Great chance to network, discuss about sustainability and grab coffee and biscuits on the house!
