Repurposing industrial and agricultural waste through polymer processing.
Seminar lead by Dr. Pedro Ortega Gudino
Mexico's central valley is full of agricultural and general industry which leads to a large of amount of waste products generally in the form of natural fibrous material. In the Polymer Processing and Engineering group at the University of Guadalajara we use such waste in order to produce different thermoplastic-natural fibre composites. The aim is not only to reduce waste, but to produce valuable materials for the local communities and industries. The Innovative Manufacturing GRP would like to invite you to learn more about the different research taking place and provide input and hopefully encourage future international collaborations.
