The University of Warwick will process your personal data provided on this online form for the purposes of contacting you about relevant Sustainable Cities updates by email. The legal basis for processing this personal data is consent, which is obtained through ticking the above box and submitting this online form.

 

You are able to withdraw your consent at any time by contacting Cities@warwick.ac.uk. Your personal data will not be shared or disclosed to any third parties external to the University of Warwick, except to be uploaded by our administrator to our Mailchimp account. Your personal data will be transferred outside of the EEA, to our Mailchimp account to send the newsletter. Mailchimp ensures that such transfers are made in compliance with the requirements of data protection laws. EEA Data transfers: to the extent that Mailchimp is a recipient of customer data protected by data protection laws applicable to the EEA ("EEA Data"), Mailchimp makes available the mechanisms listed below, for any transfers of EEA Data in or to a country that does not provide an adequate level of protection for personal data (as described in applicable data protection laws): • (a) EU-US Privacy Shield (“Privacy Shield”): If Mailchimp is self-certified to the Privacy Shield: (i) Mailchimp is deemed to provide adequate protection (within the meaning of applicable data protection laws) for EEA Data by virtue of having self-certified its compliance with Privacy Shield; (ii) Mailchimp agrees to process EEA Data in compliance with the Privacy Shield Principles; and (iii) if Mailchimp is unable to comply with this requirement, Mailchimp shall inform the University. • (b) EU Standard Contractual Clauses (“SCCs”): to the extent the transfer mechanism identified in Section (a) above does not apply to the transfer and/or is invalidated, Mailchimp shall abide by and process EEA Data in compliance with the SCCs. A copy of Mailchimp’s above appropriate safeguards for the purposes of Chapter V of the GDPR is available in Section 6 of its Data Processing Addendum.
