Mindfulness and Wellbeing

About the session:

Dr. Dean Howes will lead a live 1-hour mindfulness session in FAB at 11.30 am. Through the practice of several mindfulness techniques focussed on calming your mind, body, and emotions, the aim is to open yourself to a more immersive experience with poetry and to make the most of the well-being benefits it can provide. No prior experience of mindfulness and no equipment is required. There will also be plenty of time for questions and discussions.

Meet the Facilitator:

Dean is an Assistant Professor at the Centre for Lifelong Learning and a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy. Dean teaches a variety of mindfulness, psychology and coaching courses and modules. He has been a tutor at the centre for over 15 years, teaching on the Social Studies degree programmes, the certificate programme and a range of other programmes, initiatives, workshops, and sessions.
