Apply for a PATHWAY Postdoctoral Award

Eligibility
All applicants for PATHWAY Postdoctoral Awards must be directly employed by the University of Warwick as a current postdoctoral researcher until at least 31 July 2025 and must self-identify as being either Black or of Black heritage. Applicants must not be in receipt of either a PATHWAY Early Career Researcher Fellowship or an IAS Early Career Researcher Fellowship during the award period (Jan-July 2025).
Selection process
Awards will be made via a two-stage system of partial randomisation, as follows:
Stage 1
Eligibility for the PATHWAY Postdoctoral Awards will be screened for compliance with the following criteria:
- Status confirmed as current postdoctoral researcher at University of Warwick with an employment contract ending after 31 July 2025
- Applicant self-identifies as Black, or of Black heritage
- Applicant confirms they will not be in receipt of either a PATHWAY ECR Fellowship or an IAS ECR Fellowship during the award period
- Proposed activities are eligible for support (see "Activities eligible for support")
- Supervisor confirms support for application
Stage 2
All eligible applications are numbered. Awards are allocated by number using a third-party random integer generator.
1) Complete the online application form by midnight on 15 December 2024
2) Ask your supervisor to complete the online supervisor support form by midnight on 15 December 2024
IMPORTANT- It is the responsibility of the applicant to ensure that both the application and supervisor support form reach the PATHWAY Team by the deadline. Late or incomplete applications submitted will not be considered.
Notice of outcomes
Applicants and supervisors will notified of outcomes by Friday 20 December, 2024.
