Dr Dan Lester shortlisted for the Papin Prize
Dr. Daniel Lester, manager of the Polymer Characterisation RTP, has been shortlisted for a Papin Prize, the national awards recognising excellence in academia. He is one of 6 nominees in the brand-new category of Contribution to Knowledge Exchange, the category aiming to honour a member of technical staff who has made a significant contribution to delivering knowledge exchange and innovation activities on behalf of their institution.
In total 357 individuals and teams were nominated out of which 62 have been shortlisted for this year’s awards across ten categories. The awards will be presented at the biannual Higher Education Technicians Summit (HETS) 2023 on 4 July at the University of Warwick.
For the first time, UK Research and Innovation (UKRI) has partnered with HETS and the acclaimed Papin Prizes.
Professor David Leadley, Deputy PVC (Research) and Chair of the Technician Commitment Steering Group at Warwick, has highlighted ‘it is a great achievement for Dan to be shortlisted for such a prestigious national award. This distinction reflects his commitment and technical excellence in his field and the quality of service within the Polymer Characterisation RTP in the University of Warwick.’
