New Spectrometer
The spectroscopy RTP was please to able to begin the return to work with a new FT-IR spectrometer, a Nicolet iS50R. The new system offers an increase in both spectral range (50 - 27’000 cm-1) and offers increased spectral resolution of up to 0.1 cm-1. The iS50R also gives us the capability for time resolved FT-IR measurements with Rapid scan capable of up to 90 spectra per minute or Step-Scan which can measure on micro second scales for reversible processes. In addition to this increased performance the spectrometer has automated changing for its four beams splitters and three detectors making it a user friendly machine. We will also have improved data processing facilities using Omnic software that includes reference libraries in the lab and all users will have access to ThermoFishers Omnic-Anywhere processing software.
We will be accepting training requests on the new spectrometer once we are able to. If you have any questions or wish to discuss and future experiment, please contact spectrscopy@warwick.ac.uk.
